Weening!

No more boobie! as of yesterday afternoon! we have completed 1 1/2 days of no nursing... yesterday was hard. She screamed for an hour because she wanted boobie... but i kept saying... "Elyzabeth, you are too old for boobie... how about some juice." Eventually she gave up and was okay with playing in her kitchen. After ner blood draw this morning, she wanted boobie too, but i gave her jelly beans instead. So far it is going okay.... and the best part..... I can eat eggs again....Waffles, here i come!

Sorry it has been sooo long!

So, it is already July!!! Where did the year go?!?!?! But, things have been pretty good! we have a new house, new daycare and our family is all together for the summer. Courtney came into town early June and will be here until August 6th. We have been so busy doing things, that i haven't had time to "rest". We have been to the zoo a couple of times, bike riding and Valley fair. Courtney got her first "real bike". It is purple and really cool! she is such a champ, and learned how to ride like a pro in just a couple of hours!

Took Elyzabeth to her check up yesterday. She lost 6 oz since her last visit 2 weeks ago. Not sure what is going on, but looks like she hasn't been on her growth curve since 9 months. So today, we had to take her to North Memorial for a blood draw...poor thing, I am weaning her from nursing and she had a huge blood draw in the same day. but she was soooo good, and barely cried at all... we should get the blood results back in a couple of weeks, hopefully there is nothing wrong and we find that she is just going to be a small kid... at least we will be able to say nothing is wrong.

So, i have been at this job for almost a year (11 months to be exact.) And over the past 11 months, i have made my share of mistakes. Some are totally my fault... however, others i blame on lack of training. And what really sucks! is EVERYONE gets involved...even if they are not directly related to the problem! The area I work in is so NOSEY they know everything and listen to all my conversations...

So again I say: I SCREWED UP, LET THE PUBLIC FLOGGING BEGIN!

Sorry it's been so long!

So - we have been so busy the past couple of weeks!!!

Josh, Dad, Ely & I went to the Rodeo. Ely had a BLAST!! She was so cute and was so excited to see all the beautiful horses!

And she looks so old w/ her pigtails and her jean jacket!

She is just soo amazing everyday! She was up until 10:00pm!!!

Then - the next night we were at a super bowl party. And again she was up until 10pm!!!

She sat on the couch eating cookies with Rainy & Aira.

Elyzabeth's new favorite show is Veggie Tales. There is one specific song at the end of one of the episodes that she totally loves.

So... i am all better now. Realized i didn't take my Birth Control for like 3 days... boy that can really mess a girl up!

Tough days!

So, do you ever have those days where nothing seems to go right? And you can't exactly put your finger on what it is, but something is upsetting you? And everytime someone talks to you you feel like crying? Well... that is today for me...

I don't know why, but for some reason today i feel really alone. I guess it started Friday night. Josh was out, and so I put Elyzabeth to bed. But 45min later, she woke up SCREAMING!!! And no matter what i did, she wouldn't calm down. And everytime i touched her she would just scream louder and louder. When Josh got home, he picked her up and she stopped crying immediately. He rocked her and she went to sleep right away and slept until 9am! Not sure why it bother's me so much, but it does. I can't seem to get past it. That on top of everything else right now just sucks!

I guess i am just in a rut!

What a wonderful Holiday!

Had a WONDERFUL holiday -- I hope all of you did as well.

Elyzabeth got 6 baby's for Christmas! All of which are very loved by her! She also got a stroller & a potty chair for her babies! But of all the gifts we got, the bests are the following:

A baby blanket: My mom & my grandma gave Elyzabeth a baby blanket. It gives her weight and birthdate... identical to the baby blanket i had as a baby (and still have).

A Cabbage Patch doll: Josh's mom gave Elyzabeth a cabbage patch doll that is wearing on of the premie outfits that Elyzabeth wore as a baby!

$50.00 - my dad gave Elyzabeth money to start her saving's accout.

Other then those, all of the gifts were a hit with Elyzabeth. She got a Tea set, clothes, pop up toys, a cell phone... and a new car!!! So she sits on her car, talking on the cell phone playing holding her baby:

But most of all we spent a lot of time with family! My mom's sister Barb was in town with her kids, and I haven't seen her since i was 13 or 14. So it was nice to see her. Spent time with my in-laws (which is always a blast even if a little chaotic). And spent time with my dad. He really loves Elyzabeth and really really spoils her. And he just lights up when he can show her off. We went to Mystic for dinner, and he was parading her around to all the people. He was sooo excited to play with her.

New Years was very quiet!! Thank GOD!!! we were all in bed by 930. Best New Year's ever.
